Yugi Mutou uses the Dark Magician who in turn is Blue-Eyes’ main rival and the reason for their rivalry is the bitterness between the owner of each player. However, it needs to be said that the Dark Magician lacks the raw attacking power that Blue-Eyes can boast of. Nevertheless, this does not detract from the Dark Magician who has different forms that allow Yugi to utilize the special abilities as well as awesome power in countless different ways in the quest to overcome the dragon under control of Kaiba.
Magician Of Black Chaos
The Dark Magician different forms are as Magician of Black Chaos as well as Dark Palladin and these forms are well used by Yugi in the latter’s quest to vanquish Kaiba, especially when the two meet for one last time during their last duel in the course of Battle City.
But, the Dark Magician has much more to him than his power to attack as he can call upon a collection of special trap and spell cards that help to increase his power. However, some of these cards are specific to monsters of a class known as Spellcaster and examples of these cards are Diffusion-Wave Motion as too Magical Dimension. There are also Thousand Knives and in addition there is Dark Magic Attack that too is specific to their own specific card types.
When anime is drawing to an end, the card that is revealed is the one that embodies Mahad who is the childhood friend of the Pharaoh and also his guardian. In fact, in one instance the Dark Magician is formed after Mahad who was attacked by Bakura sacrifices him so as to become merged with Illusion Magician and in doing so give rise to the Dark Magician. This in turn meant that Mahad’s vow to protect the Pharaoh for all eternity is realized and furthermore Mahad continues in the service of the Pharaoh though as a reincarnation of Yugi. This is the way the Dark Magician fights on.
There is a lot of ongoing debate regarding which magician is the best magician. Many feel that no one before or after the famous Harry Houdini can match his genius. His detractors however argue that Houdini was the most famous but hardly the best as he started out as magician but died in the form of an escape artist. To some the name Dai Vernon is synonymous with the best and he was the one magician whose tricks the great Harry Houdini could not solve.
